Please consider the following when you are reviewing this suite of standards documents:

1. The title of the NOS suite has been changed from Stagehands for film and TV productions to Stagehands for Productions.

2. The phrase “film and TV productions” have been consistently changed to “productions” throughout the whole suite.

3. The industry expert working groups agreed that the key purpose of Stagehand job role is the following.

Collaborate with craft departments to prepare set pieces, lift and fix sets, transport props and sets.

4. The standard previously titled “Operate Plant or Machinery to Lift and Transfer Set Pieces” has a new title “Operate Plant or Machinery to Access, Lift and Transfer Set Pieces”.

5. The standard previously titled “Ensure the Safe and Secure Hanging of Set Backings” has a new title “Hang set backings safely and securely”.

6. The standard previously titled “Plan the requirements for stagehand Work” has a new title “Plan and monitor the requirements for stagehand Work”.

7. The industry expert working groups proposed that the standards currently covering health and safety aspects of the job role are replaced by the following imported standards.

8. The industry expert working groups proposed that the standards currently covering self management and working with others aspects of the job role are replaced by the following imported standards.

9. Please check and confirm that the following standard “Provide Stagehand Assistance to the Wood Mill Machinist” is still a valid function of the Stagehand job role.
