Scope
These Standards will describe the generic functions involved with the industrial application of wood preservation and fire-retardant treatments. This covers high pressure and low-pressure treatment processes. Treated wood is used to supply the construction, highways, engineering, landscaping, forestry, horticultural, agricultural and renovation industries, as well as the domestic and DIY markets. Preserving wood against biological degradation and fire enhances and extends its performance thus improving its carbon credentials and reducing environmental impact. This is for treatment plant operators within the sawmill, timber merchant or service timber facility
