SKSSC3  Produce and install glass reinforced plastic components for a screen production

Overview

This standard is about producing and installing glass reinforced plastic components (GRP) for a production. This will include applying components to horizontal, vertical, inclined and circular surfaces.

You will need to employ a wide range of working practices to carry out this work. This includes cutting, fitting, drilling, brushing, sawing, grinding, fixing, rolling and laminating.

You will also need to be familiar with a wide range of materials. These will include release agents, gel coats, resin coats, accelerators and catalysts.

This standard is for those working in set crafts and special physical effects prop creation.
