You must be able to do:
confirm the costume requirements, production schedule and budget
review the costume breakdown and identify resources required to store, distribute and maintain costumes
identify and assess the space available considering security, confidentially and risk issues
identify and recruit costume personnel with the required skills within budget
negotiate staff terms and conditions
brief staff on the production, costume requirements and budget
identify and source the equipment and tools required within the budget restraints
identify and source the fabrics and materials required within the budget restraints
organise the delivery of resources
assemble, position and install equipment within the chosen area considering
obstacles, hazards and safety conditions
ensure the costume personnel are fully trained in the use of specialised tools and equipment
create a safe, functional and secure working environment
put adequate insurance arrangements in place
identify the departments running and maintenance costs
create and confirm the costume allocation and return process including any proposed fees
ensure the required insurance policies are in place
communicate with production staff and other relevant departments or individual
ensure health, safety and environmental legislation and guidelines are in place and followed at all times
