Performance criteria
You must be able to do:
assess scripts and identify costume requirements
determine how the story and timeline will affect the look of each character
identify the number of characters in the production
discuss and agree characterisation
identify action points in the storyline that call for special costume provision
consider and include continuity requirements
take and include photographs of costumes
confirm the final timings and budget implications with the relevant person(s)
negotiate budgets, resources and timescales as required
create a costume breakdown that identifies and confirms
the costumes required
the date and time required
the expected duration
the budget
demonstrate flexibility and respond to last minute changes
communicate with production staff, visual artists and other relevant departments or individuals
follow health and safety legislation and guidelines at all times
