Performance Criteria
You must be able to:
prepare for the visit to the proposed locations with the members of the production team
assess and record the suitability of the proposed locations in meeting the technical requirements for discussion with the technical team
assess the cost implications of using the proposed locations
ensure site notes and records are of sufficient detail to allow accurate interpretation into technical requirements
assess and record the characteristics, position and proposed sequence of the locations in terms of transporting electrical plant and equipment within the production schedule
complete a risk assessment to identify hazards associated with the proposed locations and the possible risks within the context of handling electrical plant, equipment and staff
ensure the risk assessment complies with all current health and safety regulations
liaise with all contractors and / or specialist services involved with the electrical requirements

how to assess the advantages and disadvantages of locations from an electrical viewpoint

the importance of ensuring the safety of all staff and equipment / resources
the current health and safety regulations affecting the production
