PROFF5 Analyse and agree finishing requirements

Overview

This standard addresses the competence required to analyse the requirements for finishing furniture. This involves investigating customer requirements, parameters and any existing briefs or requirements, identifying appropriate techniques and materials, producing a colour sample when necessary and documenting agreed requirements so they can be used to check the quality of finishing work as it progresses.

You must be able to:      

1.            comply with health and safety requirements and procedures at all times

2.            agree scope of work with customers following standard operating procedures

3.            agree timescales for work following standard operating procedures

4.            provide customers with progress updates following standard operating procedures

5.            manage expectations by communicating the limits of results of repairs work following standard operating procedures
