Overview

This standard is about monitoring sustainability solutions that you implement in order to demonstrate the positive impact of those solutions.

This will involve working with Heads of Department (HODs).

This standard is for those who work in sustainability lead and coordinator roles on a production.

Performance Criteria

You must be able to:

  1. liaise with Head of Departments to check the feasibility of the solution
  2. confirm with production that the sustainability requirements can be addressed within the budget and advise as required
  3. work with the finance department to agree on templates and invoice models to assist with standardisation
  4. suggest amendments or alternatives if the original concept is unfeasible
  5. select the best methods and tools to monitor and record the efficacy of the solutions
  6. monitor to efficacy of the selected sustainable solution throughout production
  7. compare and contrast the efficacy of the selected solutions
  8. assess the savings and demonstrate carbon emission and cost savings to production
  9. assess and communicate the wider positive impacts of sustainable solutions,
  10. comply with policy, regulatory and organisational requirements and industry guidelines

Knowledge and Understanding

You need to know and understand

  1. how to address the feasibility of sustainability requirements within the budget
  2. what to monitor and the questions to answer with the data monitored and collected
  3. how to liaise with the finance department for standardisation
  4. the best methods and tools to monitor and record the efficacy of the solutions
  5. how to monitor the efficacy of the selected sustainable solution throughout production
  6. how to compare and contrast the sustainability solutions used
  7. how to assess the savings and demonstrate carbon emission and cost savings to production
  8. the importance of communicating the wider positive impacts of sustainable solutions for example HVO generators are not only lower in emission but are quieter to run and batteries are silent
  9. policy, regulatory and organisational requirements and industry guidelines
