Overview

This standard is about working with the performers, crew and production team to monitor that intimate content creation take place in the contractually agreed manner. This will also involve maintaining lines of communication with the performers, crew and production team and providing support and advise on intimacy either remotely or in person.

You will need to liaise with production team and heads of department to check that the resources needed have been provided and that any changes to the production, are notified and the impact on intimate actions is assessed.

This standard is for access coordinators.

 

Performance Criteria

You must be able to:

  1. maintain lines of communication with performers who are undertaking intimate content creation
  2. maintain agreed lines of communication with the production team
  3. encourage production team to accommodate set visits to monitor and support performers and crew
  4. monitor the production schedule and respond to any changes that affect agreed intimate content creation
  5. provide support and advice to performers and crew if there are changes to the production that may affect the intimate content required
  6. assess the changes and provide recommendations on potential risks to performers and crew
  7. check and confirm performers consent for amendments to intimate actions
  8. suggest amendments or alternatives if the performers are not willing to consent to the changes
  9. facilitate discussions between performers and production to find a solution
  10. agree the schedule, time and location to review the intimate content created
  11. review the intimate content to check that it complies with consent agreements
  12. assess the intimate content provided against the agreed artistic and technical standards
  13. provide support and guidance to performers if the content deviates from the agreed parameters
  14. support and advise on consent and contractual arrangements
  15. update and maintain intimacy records in line with data protection, production processes and contractual agreements

 

Knowledge and Understanding 

You need to know and understand:

  1. how to maintain lines of communication with performers who are undertaking intimate content creation
  2. how to maintain agreed lines of communication with the production team
  3. how to encourage the production team to accommodate set visits to monitor and support performers and crew
  4. how to monitor the production schedule and respond to any changes that affect consent agreements and contracts
  5. resources needed to meet intimacy requirements, including specialist equipment and professional support
  6. the role of other departments, in particular Location, Costume, Props, Camera, Hair & Make-up, Physical and Visual Special Effects and Post and how to work in collaboration with these
  7. the most suitable time and place to review the intimate content created
  8. how the audience look at content and take in visual and audio information
  9. how to review the intimate content to check that it complies with consent agreements
  10. how to assess and communicate with collaborators if the intimate content isn’t meeting the creative vision
  11. techniques and equipment for manipulating shots and scenes including framing and masking
  12. how and who to report breaches to consent agreements
  13. how and when to support performers with breaches of consent
  14. how and when to negotiate potential changes to consent agreements with performers and the production
  15. who to report problems or difficulties to as they arise #data protection legislation and production policies for asset storage and records
  16. the legislation and policies relating to consent and intimacy riders for productions
