Overview 

This standard is about determining the production requirements for intimate content on a production to meet the brief.

This standard is also about identifying the factors can impact on the progress of intimate content creation, including communication, agreeing priorities and resources relating to scenes, locations and shooting schedules.

It also involves recommending resources including materials and professional support that may be required for the intimacy to take place.

This standard is for intimacy coordinators.

 

Performance Criteria

You must be able to: 

  1. review and record key information from the production brief relating to scheduling, location, environment and design and its impact on the proposed intimate contact
  2. assess the levels of risk for intimacy in each scene
  3. prepare a risk mitigation strategy for intimate content creation
  4. identify resources, materials and professional support that may be required
  5. communicate with the heads of department and production team to confirm the resources and materials required are obtained
  6. check with the production team when information about the  production is incomplete or unclear
  7. suggest and agree viable alternatives with the production team when intimate content and actions change
  8. maintain records of actions taken and requests made to production

 

Knowledge and Understanding

You need to know and understand: 

  1. how to identify factors that affect intimate content creation including: heating, cooling, environment, lighting, agreed parameters of the performers involved
  2. the identified and agreed levels of nudity
  3. how to create and maintain documentation including intimacy documentation
  4. the implications of intimacy for colleagues in the creative team and crew
  5. how to identify, estimate and schedule production requirements and resources including costs where required
  6. methods of obtaining and deploying resources recorded in the intimacy tracker, script and scene breakdown
  7. how to agree the resources required with the relevant people within the timescales to allow your plans to take place
  8. the relationship between, and significance of, scenes and schedule shooting order
  9. the requirements of different types of resources such as barriers, genitalia covers, costume, hair, make up and prosthetics, props, lighting or specialist equipment
  10. the importance of complying with legislation, regulations and production policies
